NEW WAVE premiered at Tribeca 2024 last June, where it won the Albert Maysles Special Jury Award for Best New Documentary Director. Since then, the film has screened at over 20 festivals, earning additional accolades including Audience Award, Grand Jury Prize for Best Feature, and excellence in cross-cultural filmmaking. Press coverage includes: The New York Times, Vogue, IndieWire, Hyperallergic, Los Angeles Times, and San Francisco Chronicle.

To build on this momentum, the New Wave team launched the "New Wave 50 for 50" campaign to bring the film to 50 cities and 50 screens in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the end of the American/Vietnam War in 2025.

In celebration of Asian American and Pacific American Heritage Month, please join us in the downstairs community room for a performance by the local modern
Cambodian dance company, Modern Aspara.

Then, check out an exclusive screening of the documentary New Wave. New Wave recalls the nostalgia of the 80’s, poignantly set against the backdrop of navigating, understanding, and confronting generational trauma.
